Testing Yourself
Once you've been practicing and mastering words, there's a natural next step: put yourself to the test. Snap to Learn has a dedicated Test mode that works like a mini exam for your vocabulary. Whether you're a student prepping for a quiz at school or just want to see how much you really remember, this is the feature for you.
How to start a test
Open any deck and tap the Mastered tab. At the bottom of the screen, you'll see a red Test button. Tap it to begin.

Test mode only quizzes you on words you've already mastered. Think of it as a final check -- if you can pass the test, you really know those words. Words that are still in the "Practicing" stage won't show up here, so there are no surprises.
How the test works
The test uses the same input methods you're already familiar with from practice sessions. You can type your answers with the keyboard or write them by hand -- whichever you prefer. The difference is that test mode does not give you hints or second chances. It's a straightforward assessment: do you know the word or don't you?
Your results
When you finish a test, you'll see a results screen with your score displayed as X/Y correct along with a percentage. Below that, the Your Performance section lists every word from the test with a clear checkmark or cross next to it, so you know exactly which ones you nailed and which ones need more work.

Tap Finish Test to return to your deck.
Tips
- Retake tests anytime. There's no limit. If you didn't score as well as you'd like, go back to practice mode, work on the words you missed, and test again.
- Use it before a real exam. If you have a vocabulary quiz coming up at school, running through the test a few times the night before is a great way to build confidence.
- Parents: ask your child to show you the test results screen. It's a quick, honest snapshot of where they stand with a particular set of vocabulary.
